The winners for the 67 Awards 2024 were announced on 6 September 2024.

  • Chair of Judges

    Elaine serves as an author, speaker, and global wine educator. Their acclaimed book The Wines of California, from Classic Wine Library, was released in Spring 2025. Previously, Brown served as the Executive Editor US for JancisRobinson.com, a columnist for Decanter magazine, and a contributing writer to Wine & Spirits Magazine. They contributed to the 4th, 5th and upcoming 6th editions of Oxford Companion to Wine, the 8th and upcoming 9th edition of the World Atlas of Wine, and the compilations On Burgundy and On California from Academie du Vin Library.

    Indigenous (Inupiaq and Unangan-Sugpiaq) from what is now Alaska, Brown has dedicated their career to the intersection of sustainability, climate action, and reducing gatekeeping in the wine industry. They co-founded the Diversity in Wine Leadership Forum and have advised diversity initiatives in multiple countries. Brown serves as Executive Director for Batonnage Forum, and is a board member of the Wine Writer Symposium. They travel globally delivering keynotes and seminars, and pay rent in Sonoma, California.

Max Allen
  • Max Allen has been writing about booze for 30 years. He is the wine and drinks columnist for the Australian Financial Review and Australian correspondent for JancisRobinson.com. For almost two decades he was the wine columnist for The Weekend Australian and wine editor of Australian Gourmet Traveller.

    Max is a two-time winner of the prestigious international André Simon Memorial Award: in 1998 with his first book, Red and White, Wine Made Simple, and again in 2020 for Intoxicating, Ten drinks that shaped Australia. His latest book, Alternative Reality: how Australian wine changed course, has been longlisted for the 2023 André Simon Food & Drink Book Awards

    In 2011 The Future Makers: Australian Wines for the 21st Century was named Best International Wine Book at the Louis Roederer Wine Writers Awards in London; in 2013 Max was awarded a State Library of Victoria Creative Fellowship; in 2016, he was inducted as a Legend of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival; in 2018 he was named Wine Communicator of the Year; and in 2023 was the recipient of Cider Australia’s Champion of the Industry award.

    Max also teaches wine studies at the University of Melbourne, makes his own cider, plays mandolin, and is a practicing artist at the renowned Blender Studios in West Melbourne.

Olly Smith
  • Olly Smith is an award-winning broadcaster, wine expert, TV personality, author and columnist. He is best known for his finely-tuned taste buds, boundless knowledge and infectious enthusiasm especially in the world of food and drink.

    He is the weekly wine columnist for the Daily Mail’s Weekend magazine and writes for a wide range of publications including Decanter, Assemblage and Iconic Magazine. He is a regular wine expert and occasional host presenting live on BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen and has a wealth of TV credits internationally.

    Olly has hosted his own drinks podcast ‘A Glass With featuring an array of celebrity guests including Kylie Minogue, P!NK, Sting, and Sam Neill, to name a few.

    He is a Food Hero for P&O Cruises, curating the wine list for his award-winning wine bar the Glass House across the fleet. Olly has written seven books – his latest World Cocktail Atlas is a number one best seller offering a collection of over 200 new and classic cocktails – and also has his own range of crystal glassware, launched in 2021.

    Olly is Patron of the Drinks Trust, Patron of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, Ambassador for Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, loves the countryside, his dog Busby and a good pint of beer. As winner of Celebrity Mastermind (specialist subject Withnail & I) with his extensive knowledge of all things booze, the only thing Olly is more enthusiastic about than a glass of the good stuff, is sharing it as widely as possible.

Isis Daniel
  • Isis Daniel, the esteemed Founder and CEO of Elevage LLC, has carved a niche for herself in the wine industry. Her profound knowledge and expertise have earned her recognition in esteemed publications such as Millie Magazine and Thrillist. Beyond print, Daniel is the voice behind The Millennial Somm Podcast and has been honoured as a 40 under 40 Wine Enthusiast Tastemaker. Her past roles include serving as a brand ambassador for La Crema Wines, and she continues to be an active participant in WineAmerica and the Association of African-American Vintners (AAAV). Daniel’s influence extends to social media, where she boasts a following of over 12k on Instagram and 148k+ on TikTok under the handle @themillennialsomm. Through these platforms, she consistently captivates and nurtures the evolution of wine culture for her followers.

Konstantin Baum
  • Konstantin is Germany’s youngest Master of Wine, an entrepreneur, and an educator. Konstantin runs the innovative online retail company baumselection.com, importing artisanal wines and distributing them throughout Europe. He is always searching for the next big discovery like the Domaine Chevillard that he recently found before it became the discovery of the year 2019 by La Revue du Vin de France. In 2019 he received the Future 50 award as one of the world’s greatest talents from the wine, spirit, and sake industries.

    His mission is to “make the world taste better”, improving the selection of wine in the on- and off-trade, and improving the ability of people to taste and appreciate wine. He is also very active on social media: His YouTube channel is one of the biggest wine channels in the world with more than 145,000 subscribers and he communicates regularly with his 40,000 followers on Instagram.

    He also runs the wine program of one of the best Hotels in the World – the Brenners-Park Hotel in Baden-Baden – and he is the European Ambassador for the California Wine Institute. In 2015 he became the youngest German Master of Wine ever and he appears in the media and contributes to magazines.

Natalie Wang
  • A Hong Kong-based Chinese wine journalist, Natalie Wang was born and raised in Chongqing, China. She obtained her Master’s degree in Journalism at the University of Hong Kong, and honed her journalist skills with International Herald TribuneThomson Reuters, and JNA magazine. She has worked in the wine industry since 2015, first with American wine critic James Suckling and later with the drinks business Hong Kong as its managing editor for Asia. In mid-January 2019, Wang has launched her own media platform Vino Joy News, providing the most trustworthy and authoritative content, data and analysis on China’s wine industry. She was voted one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women working in wine and spirits industry by Women in Wine and Spirits Awards in 2021 and won the Social Media Award. In 2022, she was nominated for 2023 Wine Communicator of the Year by IWSC, the only Chinese born wine journalist to achieve the distinction.
