Chair of Judges
Elaine serves as an author, speaker, and global wine educator. Their acclaimed book The Wines of California, from Classic Wine Library, was released in Spring 2025. Previously, Brown served as the Executive Editor US for JancisRobinson.com, a columnist for Decanter magazine, and a contributing writer to Wine & Spirits Magazine. They contributed to the 4th, 5th and upcoming 6th editions of Oxford Companion to Wine, the 8th and upcoming 9th edition of the World Atlas of Wine, and the compilations On Burgundy and On California from Academie du Vin Library.
Indigenous (Inupiaq and Unangan-Sugpiaq) from what is now Alaska, Brown has dedicated their career to the intersection of sustainability, climate action, and reducing gatekeeping in the wine industry. They co-founded the Diversity in Wine Leadership Forum and have advised diversity initiatives in multiple countries. Brown serves as Executive Director for Batonnage Forum, and is a board member of the Wine Writer Symposium. They travel globally delivering keynotes and seminars, and pay rent in Sonoma, California.

Tyson Stelzer is a multi-award winning wine writer, television host and producer, author of 18 wine books, international keynote speaker and wine show chairman and judge. As a television presenter, Tyson is the host and producer of the People of the Vines series. He is the author of seven editions of The Champagne Guide, a regular columnist for many magazines, and a contributor to Jancis Robinson’s The Oxford Companion to Wine. He is the creator and host of The Champagne Tour, the Advanced Champagne Certificate and of Taste Champagne, the biggest global champagne showcase, with events across Australia, the UK and Hong Kong. Tyson is the founder and director of Teen Rescue Foundation, a charity to actively discourage and reduce harmful alcohol use and its consequences among under-age teens. He has raised more than $500,000 for charities through his philanthropic initiatives over the past 13 years.

Anna Lee C. Iijima is a Japanese and American journalist and wine critic based in New York City. In addition to writing for the Chicago Tribune, she writes about wine, sake, food and culture for publications like Decanter, Wine Enthusiast , the Philadelphia Inquirer, RESY, Full Pour, the New Wine Review and others.

Sonal C Holland is the first and only Indian to be conferred the ‘Master of Wine’ (MW) – most respected title in the industry representing the highest standards of professional knowledge in the world. Through the span of her professional career, Sonal has tasted tens of thousands of wines, travelled across the globe to possibly every wine region, visited hundreds of wineries, spent time with legendary winemakers to hone her knowledge, and in turn, has mentored hundreds of aspirants and professionals to launch their wine careers in the Indian industry. Her distinguished career has earned her several accolades, including being featured in the list of Top 50 Most Powerful Women and Top 100 Most Influential People in Indian luxury. Sonal is widely celebrated as the Top Wine Personality in India by several eminent media publications and business houses. Sonal’s TEDx talk chronicles her journey from a conventional job at a Fortune 500 company to becoming ‘one in a billion’ as India’s leading wine voice. Her story is an inspiration to many who are seeking the courage to step out, own their dreams, act upon their ideas and achieve incredible things.

Andrew Jefford has written for many British newspapers, including The Evening Standard (for ten years), The Financial Times, The Guardian and The Times; he is today Contributing Editor and a regular columnist for both Decanter and The World of Fine Wine, as well as Academic Advisor to the Wine Scholar Guild. He writes a monthly wine column for The New Statesman. He is one of five Co-Chairs for the London-based Decanter World Wine Awards, the largest global wine competition. He has also broadcast extensively on wine, tea and other subjects for BBC Radio in the UK, and leads study tours in France for the Wine Scholar Guild. He has written twelve books and guides including The New France, Andrew Jefford’s Wine Course and Whisky Island (about the island of Islay). A book-length collection of his writings on wine, Drinking with the Valkyries, was published in September 2022. He and his family live near Montpellier, France.

Agnese Gintere is one of the leading wine experts in the Baltic States, with 18 years of experience in the wine industry. In 2017, Agnese became the first female winner of the Latvian Sommelier Championship. She later completed the prestigious WSET Diploma in Rust, Austria, and is currently a Stage Two student at the Institute of Masters of Wine. Agnese has been an active member of the Latvian Sommelier Association since 2018, where she has served on the board and contributed to the development of the Latvian wine scene. She has helped organise courses, masterclasses, guest lectures, and sommelier competitions in both Latvia and the Baltics. Agnese is also deeply involved with the local winemaking community, particularly in the development and assessment of hybrid grape varieties. In 2022, Agnese launched the YouTube channel No Sediment, now one of the largest wine education platforms in the region, with over 26,000 subscribers and 2.5 million total views. In 2023, she expanded No Sediment to include a podcast, frequently featuring prominent guests.
